Conductivity sensor 5819
Conductivity sensor 5819 is a compact fully integrated sensor used to measure the conductivity of seawater. Intended for use with AiCaPCANBus in conjunction with SeaGuard or SmartGuard data loggers, or as a standalone sensor using RS-232/RS-422
Advantages:
Smart sensors that can be easily integrated with SeaGuard and SmartGuard
• Can be easily integrated with most recorders or systems
• Directly read engineering data
Durable and sturdy, with low maintenance requirements
The output formats include AiCaPCANBus, RS-232/RS-422
• 3 available depth ranges: 300, 3000, and 6000 meters
By measuring conductivity as well as temperature and depth information, salinity can be well estimated.
The definition of salinity is the concentration of dissolved salt, mainly referring to the concentration of sodium ions and chloride ions. Some other important characteristics of seawater will be affected by salinity. This includes density and sound velocity.
The conductivity sensor adopts the principle of induction and is the fourth generation product of Aanderaa. Provide leading accuracy and stability.
